What it does
Liquids bead up and wipe or rinse off, and most food marks come out in a normal wash. Sweat wicks off and dries instead of soaking in, so the underarms do not yellow the way they do on a regular shirt.
What it does not do
Something ground in and left for a week can still leave a trace, like any fabric. Day to day it is the difference between a ruined shirt and a napkin. Wash normally and skip the fabric softener.

No, and we do not call it that. It is stain-repellent: the fabric has a finish that makes liquids bead up and roll off instead of soaking in. It still breathes like a shirt should.
Does the stain resistance wash out?
