I was having a bad week. On Friday, I opened the closet and noticed a warm glow from my newest &collar shirt. Then the choir of shirt threads began to sing a song that stirred my body, heart, and soul into action. After carefully removing the beautiful blue garment from its padded hanger home, I swung it around my shoulders like a king donning royal vestments. Immediately it felt as if angels were embracing me, and my outlook on the day rocketed to atmospheric heights.
The weather outside was dreary, but when I made my first step out the door, the sun bestowed me with a solar kiss. The ride into work was filled with my favorite songs selected at random by the music gods.
The work day started off on a sour note, but when I simply touched the sleeve of my supple &collar shirt, the day became much sweeter. Not only was the office coffee incredible, the little bit of java I spilled on my shirt rolled off onto the floor. No stain! It brought a tear to my eye.
At the end of the work day, the "cool" office staff invited me to get a drink because they "wanted to be seen with a guy wearing a stylish shirt." I am pretty sure I gave the &collar website URL to dozens of people at the bar.
I left the bar and encountered protesters on the street corner who were very concerned about the landfills filling up with plastic. When I pointed out that my shirt was made from recycled plastic bottles, I was selected as the "Community Environmentalist of the Year."
